February 4, 2016

In collaboration with Alison Ide-Pech(TAG Teacher) and Barbara Bourque(Media Specialist), Mrs. Fernandez and Mrs. Avigne’s second grade students presented a PowerPoint presentation to their families this morning in the media center about different professions they were interested in that help a community grow. These students worked hard researching their profession since November and gathered information, took notes and created a PowerPoint presentation. The students invited parents in to celebrate their accomplishments. We had approximately 23 families attend today’s event.

TAG News: Vogel-Wetmore School hosted the City Planner of Torrington, Mr. Martin Connor on December 3, 2015. The 5th grade TAG students have been interested in building cities of the future and wanted to learn more about how to design, plan and build a city. Mr. Conner shared town maps to explain his work. Students from Mrs. Pallidino’s class and Mrs. Ide-Pech’s 5th grade TAG were excited to ask him questions about his job. Thank you Mr. Connor!
